How to improve the accuracy of ink color matching
when the color adjusted by the ink factory is used in the printing factory, it often has errors with the standard color. This is a problem that is difficult to completely avoid. It can only be to minimize the color difference. What is the reason for this problem, how to control it, and how to improve the accuracy of ink factory color matching? I have the opportunity to work in a printing factory and an ink factory. I will analyze the reasons for this
1. Printing method: most ink factories use small printing machines imported from Britain. The holes of this machine are on the flat plate, and the printing is completed by moving the printing film with the round impression roller. The machine of the printing factory adopts the round impression method, and the holes are on the rotating circumferential roller. There are great differences in the number of lines and angles of these two holes, which makes the same ink have great differences in the two printing methods. Sometimes it is not only the problem of dark and light color, but also the effect of hue and lightness. Some small factories use ink scraping sticks to match samples, which is even worse. Using the proofing machine of the plate making factory to control the color, the effect will be much better than that of the imported small printing machine, but the price is the same. This proofing machine can be made into the same plate as the printing factory, and the printing patterns of different levels and depths can be designed according to the needs. This makes the printing method basically the same as that of the printing factory, and an important factor affecting the hue - the printing plate is also the same as that of the printing factory
2. Version depth: different prints have different version depth. The ink factory's understanding or estimation of the version depth used by the print also affects the accuracy of various tests that can be carried out by the tinting tension tester with different fixtures, accessories, two-point extenders, and load elements. Obviously, if the ink factory uses 45 for color matching μ M deep edition printing, while the customer's edition is far less than 45 μ M, the printed color will become lighter, otherwise, it will become darker. Some people think that the ink is adjusted according to the standard ink comparison provided by the user, and the depth of the version does not need to be considered. In fact, this is a theoretical view, In practice, it's not like "today's sculpture boundaries are becoming wider and wider. Theoretically, two identical inks (such as dividing a cup of ink into two parts) have the same hue regardless of the depth and lightness of the version (other conditions are the same). However, in the actual color matching, it is impossible to mix the same inks, so there is often such a phenomenon of smooth switching; sometimes the color of the shallow version is closer (it can meet the customer's requirements), but if you print a deep version, the color is much worse, so it is very important to master the depth of the version. How deep the customer's version is, you must use how deep the version is to print the color
3. Viscosity: the printing viscosity of the color matching of the ink factory should be consistent with the printing viscosity when the ink is printed by the printing factory. The farther the difference between the two is, the greater the color difference will eventually be. The ink factory uses 22s for color matching, while the customer uses 35S. At this time, the color must be much darker, on the contrary, much lighter. Some ink factories don't pay much attention to this problem and don't consider the use viscosity of the printing factory. They always compare the customer's standard samples (including ink samples and print samples) with a unified viscosity, which causes a large color difference
4. Printing materials: the materials used by the ink factory for color matching are different from those used by the printing factory (including other processes), which will also cause large color differences. Some inks will be printed with a layer of white ink, and the color will be closer to that of the customer's print, while others will be the opposite. Some inks have little change after compounding, but some have great changes, such as some transparent colors. Therefore, when the ink factory tints, it is necessary to make clear the customer's process conditions, including whether to print white ink backing, what materials are compounded, and whether to polish
theoretically, the closer the printing conditions when the ink factory colors and the printing conditions when the printing factory uses this ink for printing, the higher the accuracy of the transferred ink. However, due to the limitations of conditions, there are still many differences between the two, such as: printing speed, watching your experimental machine measure and verify once a year? A: according to the specified color environment, the pressure of the printing press roller can not be unified. As long as these four parts are well controlled, the color matching accuracy of the ink factory can be greatly improved
